SELCHP hosted an Open Day on Sunday, 18th September and we welcomed over 559 visitors this year which is slightly up on last year.
We managed to secure the assistance from Deptford park play club who managed a crèche on site which included registration and activities like face painter, balloon modeller & glitter tattoo for the toddlers. We also had a rest and refreshment area hosted by the Bermondsey Community Kitchen, who help the unemployed get back into work through catering training. Visitors could get into demonstration vehicles lent by SELCHP, Veolia, Westminster, Bromley, Lewisham, Greenwich and Day Group.
A BIG thank you to all our volunteers, exhibitors, staff and the public who attended the Open Day and their contribution to a very successful day.
