The BSIA alone covers all aspects of the security industry and all its members must meet stringent membership conditions, work to BSIA Codes of Practice and comply with all relevant British Standards for their products. DNV is an accredited Quality certification body. This means that DNV is accredited by the BERR to assess companies to ISO 9000 quality standards. On a day-to-day basis, this work is regulated by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and in the USA by the Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB). DNV is an independent, third-party assessment body without affiliation to any other company or organisation. It assesses a wide range of manufacturing and service companies, both throughout the UK and across many parts of the world.

ISO 9001/ISO 14001 - SELCHP has held certification to the International Quality Standard ISO 9001 since 1997. We are independently audited against this Standard to ensure that the quality of service to our customers and neighbours is satisfactory and that we look to continually improve.

SELCHP has held certification against the ISO 14001 International Environmental Management Standard since 1999. Our environmental performance is measured and audited, with emphasis again placed on continual improvement. SELCHP was the first Energy Recovery Facility in the UK to gain certification to ISO 14001.

The Investors in People Standard is a business improvement framework designed to advance an organisation’s performance through its people.

Developed in 1990 by a partnership of leading businesses and national organisations, the Standard helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their people.

Once the framework is in place, it can provide a foundation from which the organisation can build a solid future through a process of continuous improvement and development.

The standard demonstrates that we believe in and recognise the value of our people, their performance and the contribution they make to SELCHP’s success. It helps staff to manage their careers better by giving them the help and guidance needed to develop while working in a positive and supportive atmosphere.
